The West Sydney Slope Soarers came into being after a small group of like minded people got together on a wind swept hill at Mt Annan  the club formation  was implemented not only to give us insurnace coverage but also to promote perhaps one of the coolest aspect of the hobby that being slope soaring .  The hill it self is the perfect  place to try your hand at the sport ,as there is no cliff over looking water but mearly a grass slope  its perfect for the first time flyer  .The Hill also offers a unique chance to try your hand at Dynamic soaring  with the South west winds of the winter season ,and although no world beating speeds are obtainable on the hill the thrill of breaking the 100mph certainly gets the blood pumping . On the other hand if you prefer the relaxing thermal flights the surrounding farm land paddock provide excellent lift   and no need for a winch  . So new to the sport or an old hand Or a visiting flyer from interstate or oversea's drop by and join the fun.
